Abia State Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu has commended the Abia born comedian, Bright Ejike popularly known as ‘Igo yan’ for organizing a comedy show to put Abians on happy mood during the Easter celebration.
Chief Okiyi Kalu, who gave this commendation when the ‘Igo yan Baba life group’ paid him a courtesy call in Umuahia, said the State is blessed with talented comedians who can perform well.
The Commissioner, who described comedians as intelligent people that make effort in putting others in a happy mood, noted that happiness is a special gift from God.
He described laughter as medicinal and brings good health and advised the group to make the show family friendly to help inculcate good morals to the participants.
The Commissioner, called for more of such shows in the state, promised to attend the show and encouraged every Abians to attend the show and make themselves happy.
Speaking earlier, the organiser of the comedy show, Bright Ejike, known as Igo yan Baba, said they came to officially invite the Commissioner to their Comedy show tagged “Undiluted comedy” coming up on Easter Sunday at Abia Mall Umuahia.
The Organizer, who gave a VIP ticket to Chief Okiyi Kalu, noted that the aim of the show is to entertain Abians and put them in a happy mood during the Easter celebration.
