Rotary Club visits Gov Ikpeazu

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu says he appreciates every available opportunity towards adding value to the life of the common man.
Governor Ikpeazu who stated this in Government House Umuahia when he received in audience the new District Governor Rotary Club International, District 9142, Dr. Dan Ajawara and other officials of the club both present and past, applauded Rotary Club for its numerous Humanitarian services.
The Governor pledged to always support the club in its Humanitarian services, added that the policies and programmmes of the club fits into his agenda for Humanity.
Earlier in an address,the District Governor Rotary Club International, District 9142, Dr. Dan Ajawara, had said that the club is aware of Governor Ikpeazu’s giant strides in Health, Road and Agriculture in addition to his efforts to reposition Aba as the true giant of Africa, pointing out that they are proud of the Governor as a Rotarian.
He enumerated some of the projects to be executed by the district to include water and sanitation projects, micro credit for indigent Nigerians, Scholarship scheme for brilliant students and the establishment of rehablitation and vocational skills acquisition centres among other achievements.
Highlight of the visit was the decoration of the Governor with Rotary pin by the district Governor. Present during the event were the Deputy Governor, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Eme Okoro, Head of Service, Sir Onyii Wamah among other  top government functionaries.
