Gov Ikpeazu swears in three new TC chairmen

The three Local Government Transition Committee Chairmen for Arochukwu,Isiukwuato and Osisioma Local Government Areas of Abia State have been sworn in by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

The new TC Chairmen include Mr Chima Agbaeze,Isuikwuato, Mr Ugochukwu Nwogu,Osisioma and Chief Dan kalu,Arochukwu.

Speaking during the occasion at Government House Umuahia,Governor Ikpeazu charged the new TC Chairmen to ensure that ventures capable of disrupting the peaceful conduct of the Saturday’s general elections would be tackled.

The Governor urged the new appointees to carry stakeholders in their various Councils along ,adding that it would foster peace ,unity and development in Abia.

In his words: “Abia government is keen about sustaining socioeconomic development ,so ensure that no external forces are brought in to cause mayhem and confusion that may mar the process of election.

“Some of you have been tested and tried. It is the records of your past experience that has brought you to this place ,for the first timers I expect you to do well and acquit yourself.

“This is usually a stepping stone for greater opportunities to serve our state. I wish you well and expect that you will do well in your respective local government councils”.

Responding,the Isiukwuato Transition Committee Chairman,Chief Chima Agbaeze ,thanked the state government for the opportunity to serve and contribute to the growth of the state.

“We promise that we will not disappoint in the discharging our duties and we will carry out our duties in line with the law”,Agbaeze said.
