2027: Anyaso Deepens Grassroots Mobilisation Across Bende

Barely a day after unveiling and signing his Bende Prosperity Contract, the Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chima Anyaso, has intensified consultations with party leaders and grassroots coordinators as part of efforts to consolidate his political support ahead of the 2027 general election.

The engagement, held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the Chima Anyaso Campaign Office in Igbere, brought together ward-level stakeholders to strengthen coordination, exchange ideas and reinforce their participation in the campaign.

Participants included ward chairmen, councillors, women and youth leaders, Abia Arise coordinators, Onu-Ugu women leaders, Chima Anyaso coordinators and other grassroots representatives from different parts of the constituency.

The consultations were organised in separate sessions for representatives from Umuimenyi/Nkpa, Ugwueke/Ezeukwu, Alayi, Item C and Item A, allowing the various groups to engage with Anyaso and the campaign leadership.

The Umuimenyi/Nkpa delegation met from 10:00 a.m. to 11:10 a.m., followed by Ugwueke/Ezeukwu from 11:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Alayi session held from 12:40 p.m. to 1:50 p.m., while Item C representatives met from 2:00 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. The final session, involving Item A, took place from 3:20 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The consultations underscored the campaign’s emphasis on grassroots participation and sustained communication with local party structures as political activities gather momentum ahead of the January 2027 election.

Among the campaign officials present were the Director-General, Pastor Okechukwu Dike; Chairman of the Advisory Board, Ezeogo Emeka Onuoha; Director of Inter-Party Affairs, Hon. Imo Masco; and Deputy Mayor of Bende and Deputy Director of the Campaign, Hon. Ngozi Anya.

Others included the Deputy Chairman of the Labour Party in Abia State, Emma Alozie; Director of Youth Mobilisation, Mazi Ugochukwu Nwankwo; Director of Grassroots Mobilisation, Apostle Michael Ogbonnaya; and the Director of Women Mobilisation, alongside other party and campaign officials.

The campaign organisation said the engagements were designed to keep ward leaders actively involved in the political process, improve grassroots coordination and strengthen collaboration between the candidate and party structures across Bende Federal Constituency.
