TIV Community In Enugu Pledges Support For Ugwuanyi, Mbah, PDP

ENUGU–The leadership of Tiv community in Enugu recently pledged to support Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s senatorial ambition to represent Enugu North senatorial district at the national assembly; the PDP Governorship candidate, Dr Peter Mbah; and his deputy, Barr Ifeanyi Ossai.

Speaking when the leadership of Brethren of the Rock on a step-down tour to its member communities to canvass support for Ugwuanyi; Mbah and Ossai visited them, the President of Tiv community, Mr. Terfa Kaimo, in company of Tor Tiv in Enugu State, Engr. Chief David Goon, stated they had never had it this good, adding that Governor Ugwuanyi’s love for peace and good governance and the uncommon love for non-indigenes motivated them to throw their weight behind him.

The community vowed to mobilize their members across the state to vote massively for Ugwuanyi for senate;  Peter Mbah for Governor and his Deputy, Ossai.

Earlier in a speech, the Director-General, Brethren of Interfaith And Inter-Community Development Initiative, aka, Brethren of the Rock, Barr. Onuora Okeke, noted that it was time Tiv Community reciprocated Governor Ugwuanyi’s love for them by voting massively for him.

Okeke urged the people to get their Permanent Voters Card (PVCs ) and use it to show their love for Ugwuanyi at the general election by voting him.

He reiterated that Brethren of the Rock was not out to exploit anyone, rather to ensure that every group, irrespective of tribe, religion and ethnicity, was given a sense of belonging and made to be part of governance in the state.

In their separate remarks, the leader of Yoruba Community in Enugu State, Alhaji Adeboye Abdulazeez; that of Igala community, Mr. Abutu Solomon Jeremiah; and the Assistant Secretary of the group, Rev. Dr. Noble Idika, espoused the speech of the DG.

Brethren of Interfaith And Inter-Community Development Initiative, aka, Brethren of the Rock, is made up of indigenes from Tiv, Hausa, Yoruba, Igala communities; and other four states of the South East geo-political zone.
