Kenya have emerged the over-all winners of African Senior Athletics Championship held in Asaba, Delta State. The championship, which came to an end last weekend, saw Kenya emerge tops with 11 gold, six silver and two bronze medals.
South Africa came second with nine gold 13 silver and eight bronze.
Nigeria settled for the third spot with nine gold, five silver and five bronze medals.
The highest placed North African nation is Morocco. They came fourth with two gold, three silver and four bronze medals.
