Ikpeazu recieves defectors from APC,APGA

About one thousand members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Isialangwa North Local Government Areas , who defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have been officially received by the State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu.

Receiving the defectors at the Obikabia Community School, Isialangwa North LGA, the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu assured them that they are welcomed back to the PDP, saying that there is brighter future for them in the PDP. He appreciated them for their bold step in joining the PDP and said their return has made him proud.

Also speaking, the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Prince Christopher Enweremadu said the achievements of the Governor as well as the decision to allow an Ngwa man complete his tenure made them to return to the party .

He described their return as historic and a demonstration of the love the people have for the Governor, assuring that the people of Isialangwa North LGA has resolved to ensure Governor Ikpeazu is returned to office in 2019.

In their remarks on behalf of other defectors, Chief John Ukasanya of former APC and Mr Chima Agbazuere of former APGA said their resolve to join the PDP family was due to the sterling performance of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in office and the realization that there was no future for them in their former political parties.

They assured Governor Okezie Ikpeazu that of voting him enmass in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
