Businessman and philanthropist, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, has called on Christian men to embrace godly leadership, compassion, and responsible living, stressing that true greatness is measured by the grace of God rather than material achievements.
Anyaso made the call while delivering a sermon as Guest Preacher during the Father’s Day celebration at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Living Spring Parish, Ehimiri Umuahia.

Speaking on the theme, “Men of Extravagant Grace,” and drawing inspiration from John 1:16, he said society often measures success by wealth, influence, and power, whereas God values individuals whose lives have been transformed by His grace.
According to him, a man of grace remains humble and acknowledges that every accomplishment is made possible by God rather than personal strength.

He identified gratitude, responsibility, compassion, godly leadership, and legacy as the enduring fruits of extravagant grace, urging fathers to demonstrate these virtues in their homes, workplaces, and communities.
The philanthropist also encouraged Christians to participate actively in leadership and governance, warning that when good people withdraw from public service, opportunities are created for poor leadership to thrive.

While commending the developmental efforts of Abia State Governor, Alex Chioma Otti, Anyaso urged citizens to support leaders who exhibit integrity, accountability, and genuine concern for the welfare of the people.
Reflecting on his humanitarian activities, he explained that compassion inspired him to establish the Ahuoma Anyaso Educational Foundation in Igbere more than 18 years ago. Through the initiative, he said, thousands of children have benefited from tuition-free education, school supplies, and other learning materials, with over 5,000 pupils reportedly trained through the programme.
In his remarks, Rt. Rev. Johnson Kalu, Minister-in-Charge of the church, described Anyaso as a compassionate leader whose contributions to education, philanthropy, grassroots empowerment, and community development have positively impacted many lives.
Similarly, Hon. Anthony Chinasa, member representing Umuahia Central State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, praised Anyaso’s commitment to service and described him as a valuable asset to Bende Federal Constituency.
The event featured special prayers for Anyaso and the presentation of an Education Ambassador Award in recognition of his contributions to educational development and humanitarian service.
In appreciation of the honour, Anyaso donated ₦1 million to support church projects and also presented gifts to the oldest and youngest couples in the congregation as part of activities marking the Father’s Day celebration.
Responding, he expressed gratitude to the church leadership and members for the recognition and acknowledged the support of his associates and well-wishers.
The event attracted political leaders, community stakeholders, and supporters from across Bende Local Government Area, underscoring Anyaso’s growing profile as a promoter of faith-based values, community development, and public service.
