The former Abia State Commissioner for Environment, Barr. Tony Nwamuo, has extended warm Easter greetings to the people of Abia State and Nigerians at large.
In a goodwill message released through his media office and made available to journalists today, the environmental lawyer and Chattered Green Advocate of Nigeria (CGAN) called on leaders at all levels to reflect on the essence of Easter and prioritize the welfare of the people they serve.
Barr. Nwamuo emphasized the need for selfless leadership inspired by the sacrificial life of Jesus Christ, noting that many Nigerians are enduring difficult times and need hope and genuine support from those in positions of authority.
“The suffering of the Nigerian people is undeniable. As we mark Easter, a period symbolic of sacrifice and renewal, I call on all leaders—whether in politics, business, or the community—to rise above personal interests and champion the needs of the masses,” he stated.
He further encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope despite the current challenges, expressing optimism that the nation will overcome its trials.
“There is light at the end of the tunnel. Our faith, unity, and resilience as a people will carry us through. Let us continue to pray for a better Nigeria,” he added.
Wishing Christian faithful a joyful and spiritually uplifting Easter, Barr. Nwamuo reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Abia State and the well-being of its people.
