BROTHERS AT WAR: Enyimba Storm Umuahia for Warriors

It will be a war of brothers when two Abia State clubs battle for supremacy this Sunday at the Umuahia Township Stadium in one of the week 12 matches of the Nigerian Premier Football League.

The encounter dubbed The Abia Derby will be fiercely contested as both clubs vie for the three points at stake.

The home side, Abia Warriors are 12th and could move as far as the third place depending on the result of other matches if they win this game while third placed Enyimba could take up the top spot if the clinch all three points and other results go their way.

Last season, Enyimba came, saw and defeated the Umuahia Warriors courtesy of Bernard Ovoke 72^nd minute strike.

The last time Abia Warriors secured a win over their more illustrious neighbors in the league was on April 6, 2022, when they won 2-1.
