ABSU Lecturers Commended For Their Doggedness

Lecturers at Abia State University Uturu, Faculty of Agriculture, Umuahia Location, have been Commended for their doggedness and hard work in impacting positively their students.

The Abia State Head of Service, Dr Ngozi Queen Obioma who made the commendation when she received in audience the top management of Abia State University, Uturu, Faculty of Agriculture, Umuahia Location, who paid a courtesy visit to her office, said that she was proud to be a student of the Faculty of Agriculture, Umuahia Location, pointing out that the knowledge and moral they impacted on her have contributed in making her what she is today.

Dr Obioma thanked the lecturers for impacting positively her life, maintaining that the knowledge she acquired from their wealth of experience has been the foundation on which she has been building all these years and urged them to sustain the tempo.

The HOS who described the visit as remarkable, promised to uphold the office with every sense of humility, diligence, honesty and fairness to all workers and reaffirmed her willingness to partner with and support them when necessary as a way of showing gratitude to her alma mater.

Speaking earlier, the Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Afamdi Anene, who described Dr Obioma as a woman with proven integrity noted that hard work, commitment and dedication to service are highly commendable.

Prof. Anene reminded Dr Ngozi Obioma that her appointment as the State Head of Service is a calling to higher responsibilities and expressed the hope that she will justify the confidence reposed in her.

In a vote of thanks, the Head of Department, Agricultural Economics and Extension, Prof.John Ijeoma, thanked the Head of Service for the warm reception accorded them and prayed to God to give her all it takes to succeed in office.

The event featured the presentation of academic materials to the Head of Service by the Dean, Faculty of Agriculture.
