Not Rocket Science,” Defence Minister Praises Akwa Ibom Leadership

The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has applauded the leadership of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, describing his achievements in the state as “not rocket science.”

The Minister made this remark during a courtesy visit to the Governor at the Government House in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

In a press statement issued on Friday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Ekerete Udoh, the Minister revealed that he has been an ardent follower of the state’s ARISE programmes on television. He noted that what he has witnessed on ground reflects a government that is truly committed to its people.

In his words: “My prayer is that others will also watch and see what has been done, and understand that these things are possible—it is not rocket science.”

General Musa, who was in the state to deliver the convocation lecture at the Combined Convocation Ceremony of Akwa Ibom State University, expressed appreciation to the Governor for the warm reception and the opportunity to deliver the lecture. He also commended the Governor for providing good governance in the state.
