APGA NWC visits Abia, sets to participate in LG poll.

Mr. Onuoha Egbe Benon has emerged Acting Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State.

This followed the Supreme Court ruling affirming Mr Edozie Njoku and INEC recognition of Njoku as the National Chairman of the party and his mandate to the members of the National Working Committee to tour round the states, harmonizing the party and reconciling the aggrieved.

Addressing newsmen at the party secretariat in Umuahia, shortly after a roundtable meeting with the State Working Committee of the party, the APGA National Youth Leader, Comrade Chuks Nwoga, who spoke with the permission of the National Secretary, Alhaji Mudi Imam, Chairman, Reconciliation and Harmonization committee, said the party would go further to notify the relevant institutions in the state of the party’s new leadership on acting capacity.

He maintained that APGA is deeply rooted in Abia, as a state that produced the party’s founding father and pioneer national chairman, Chief Chekwas Okorie, who is currently the party’s BOT chairman, and also a party, where the incumbent Governor Alex Otti used its umbrella twice to contest guber election.

He insisted that that there is no warring faction in the party, as the recognition of Njoku has brought unity, and the task ahead of them was to go down to the grassroots to improve on the status of the party.

He disclosed that APGA is not only ready for the upcoming local government election in the state, but will participate from the councillorship to the chairmanship and also win landslide with viable and credible candidates.
