Gov Otti Mourns The Passing Of Dr. Mrs. Lilian Ezenwa, Senior Special Assistant On Ease of Doing Business

 

The body of Late Dr. Mrs Lilian Ezenwa-Ukauwa, (Nee Anyalenkeya), has been laid to rest at her husband’s compound, Mbom Afarata,Ibeku-Umuahia North LGA,Abia State.

The late Dr Mrs Ngozi Ezenwa was until her death the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Alex Otti on the Ease of Doing Business and had served as the Executive Director of an NGO, Public Enlightenment Projects (PEP), before joining the present administration.


Governor Alex Otti, in a heartfelt tribute during the burial ceremony held at Mbom Primary School Ground, expressed the profound loss felt by the Government noting that the deceased died when her services was needed the most.

 

The Governor said that the sudden demise of Dr Ezenwa came to him as a shock on 29th December 2023, especially as he had recently interacted with her regarding various state assignments.

Describing the deceased as a strong Christian who dedicated her life in service to humanity, Governor Otti commended the effort and significant strides the deceased made in revolutionizing the business landscape in Abia.

 

“Dr Ezenwa was until her death my Senior Special Assistant on the Ease of Doing Business and was charting a new course for the business ecosystem in Abia before she was snatched away from us by the ugly hands of death.

 

“Before joining our Government, she served as the Executive Director of an NGO, Public Enlightenment Projects (PEP). She was a passionate and inspirational development worker for years and supported women and young people to fulfil their dreams for a better life.

 

“She will be forever missed by her family, friends, colleagues, supporters, the Abia State Government and everyone who encountered her kind, energetic, and charismatic personality”, Governor Otti said.

Governor Otti who acknowledged the irreplaceable void left by Dr. Ezenwa’s passing, condoled with her family, especially her husband, Dr Charles Ezenwa Ukauwa, the children, Debra, Daniel, and Divine and all those affected by the demise and urged them but to weep like those who do not have hope of eternal life.

 

The Governor who further encouraged them to find solace in God, expressed conviction that as a strong Christian who dedicated her life to God, humanity , the Late Dr Ezenwa is resting in God’s bossom and prayed her soul to rest in eternal peace.

Preaching a sermon earlier, Pastor Ifeoma Agu of Streams of Joy International, asserted that times and seasons are in God’s hands and challenged the living to put the time allotted them by God to good purpose.

She said physical death is not the end of everything,adding that those who died in Christ will rise again.

 

In a tribute, the husband of the deceased, Dr.Charles Ezenwa said the family is comforted that God is with them and thanked all those who spared time to be with them during their trying period.
