‘Gov Ikpeazu’s administration is developmental-driven’ – Enachioken

The traditional ruler of Abiriba Ancient Kingdom, HRM Kalu Kalu Ogbu, has described the administration of the Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu as developmental-driven.

Speaking with newsmen at the Enachioken palace in Abiriba, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, the royal father disclosed that Gov. Ikpeazu has revived trade and commerce, education, health, agriculture, among other sectors in Abia, adding that he has improved on what he met on ground in 2015 when he assumed office.

The monarch, who noted that the traditional institution has been enjoying cordial relationship with the Abia governor, further revealed that their welfare packages has been reviewed upward under this dispensation.

“We have never had it in this fashion before as all our requests, especially on security matters in our various communities has been given speedy approval”, he stated.
Eze Ogbu, also pleaded that the governor should ensure holistic implementation of Abia industrial policy when fully ratified.
This, he said will solve industrial related problems in the state and enhance synergy in the sector.

He further applauded the proposed University of Science and Technology in the state as well as, the ongoing works at Abia meteorological complex, adding that they would enhance development of the sector in the state.

He advised the state government to continue to invest on oil palm plantation to boost the state economy in this dwindling time.

Eze Ogbu who further commended Gov. Ikpeazu for being proactive in the management of COVID-19 pandemic in Abia also maintained that competency should be given priority above sentiments in terms of political appointments.

He called on Abians to continue to support Gov Ikpeazu as he is poised to take Abia to the next level of developments.
