Members of Labour Party (LP) its supporters in Ehimiri, Umuahia Abia state, have commended the Deputy Speaker of the 8th Abia State House of Assembly and the member representing Umuahia East State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Austin Okezie Meregini for his efforts in ensuring their interests are well represented in the scheme of things.
They applauded the Abia lawmaker for facilitating the on-going re-construction of a Federal road; Ikot Ekpene Road, Umuahia by the Abia state government.
Speaking on behalf of the Hon. Mmeregini’s supporters, Pastor David Chukwuemeka, added that his intervention has proven that their votes was not in vain.
“Indeed he has shown to us that we never made any mistake in voting for him to represent us.
“We the executive and members of Ehimiri Housing Estate use this medium to appreciate him and we pray that God will keep blessing him, grant him favour in every of his political endeavour”, he further added.
They congratulated the lawmaker for his emergence as the Deputy Speaker, urging him not to relent in fulfilling his promises, which they itemized to include: permanent remedies to the perennial flooding issues within Ehimiri area among others
They prayed for God’s strength and wisdom upon his life for a memorable stay in the Abia State House of Assembly.
In their separate remark, the Labour Party Ibeku East Ward 1 Secretary, Mr. Reuben Ejeh and Mr. Chikezie Onyeabor, on behalf of the stakeholders, commended the efforts of the Deputy Speaker since his emergence, adding that they are happy with the projects he has attracted to his constituents.
