The Super Falcons of Nigeria have qualified for the finals of the WAFU Women Championship. They defeated Black Queens of Ghana 4-2 on penalties after full time had ended goalless.
The Nigerian ladies had scored 22 goals in their three group matches to send shivers down the spines of their opponents.
With Thursday’s victory, the Super Falcons will take on host, Ivory Coast in the finals on Saturday. The Ivoirians defeated Mali 2-1 in the second semi-finals.
Ghana and Ivory Coast will clash earlier on Saturday for the bronze medal.
