Veteran politician and Abia State stakeholder, Chief Eni Uche, has urged the people of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency to re-elect Hon. Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa in the 2027 general election, saying the lawmaker has demonstrated effective representation and deserves another term to consolidate on his achievements.
Speaking during an interview, Chief Uche described Osonwa as one of the state’s emerging political leaders whose performance has continued to inspire confidence among his constituents.
He commended the lawmaker for what he described as notable interventions in empowerment programmes, healthcare, road infrastructure, community development, and other constituency projects aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
According to Chief Uche, Hon. Osonwa’s commitment to service has translated into tangible benefits for communities across the constituency, making him deserving of another mandate.
“I have observed his activities over time, and I believe he has performed creditably. His efforts in empowerment, healthcare, infrastructure and community development have positively impacted many lives, and the people should encourage him to do more,” he said.
Chief Uche stressed that continuity in leadership would enable the federal lawmaker to complete ongoing projects, attract more federal interventions, and expand the developmental gains already recorded in the constituency.
He further expressed the view that another successful tenure in the House of Representatives would adequately prepare Hon. Osonwa for greater leadership responsibilities in the future.
“Leadership is built on service and experience. If he secures a second term and sustains his current performance, he will be well positioned to aspire to the Senate when it is the turn of Ohafia. Public office should be a progression founded on proven capacity and results,” he stated.
While acknowledging that other sons and daughters of Ohafia also possess the capacity to serve, Chief Uche advised against unnecessary political rivalry, urging all aspirants to continue building credible records of service.
He maintained that the emergence of competent and service-driven younger leaders would strengthen democratic governance and promote sustainable development in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency and Abia State at large.
Chief Uche also praised Hon. Osonwa for what he described as his compassion and commitment to the welfare of ordinary constituents, noting that responsive leadership remains the hallmark of effective representation.
He therefore appealed to voters across Arochukwu and Ohafia to support the lawmaker’s re-election bid in 2027, expressing confidence that another term would not only benefit the constituency but also prepare him for higher responsibilities in the years ahead.
“Those who have demonstrated commitment and capacity should be encouraged to continue serving. I believe Hon. Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa has earned the confidence of his constituents through his performance, and I urge the electorate to return him for another term to deepen the progress already made,” Chief Uche said.
