Today In History: Erondu Jnr Took Salute, Marking Nigeria’s 43rd Independence 21 Yrs Ago

Twenty-One years ago, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, the then Chairman Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA ), Abia State, took the ceremonial salute to mark Nigeria’s 43rd Independence Day celebration at Obingwa Council headquarters.

Erondu Jnr who was flanked by the Divisional Police Officer at the event with other security agencies, also acknowledged cheers from school children who graced the event.

He was the Director, Enyimba FC when the pride of Aba lifted the CAF Champions League back to back (in 2023 and 2004), won CAF Super Cup twice, also emerged Nigerian Premier League winners with Enyimba FC among others.

The Uhie-born legislator served as the Special Adviser to the immediate past Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, PhD.

Erondu Jnr currently serves as the lawmaker representing Obingwa-West State Constituency and is the Chairman house committee on public service matters in the Abia State House of Assembly.
