Staff Promotion: Cross Rivers Workers Warned on Due Process

Civil Servants in Cross River civil service have been warned to follow due process in the on-going staff promotion exercise in the state.

The state Head of Service (HOS), Dr. Innocent Eteng gave the warned Civil Servants in the State to make sure they follow due process in the on-going staff promotion exercise in the State.
The state Head of Service (HOS), Dr Innocent Eteng gave the warning in a press release signed by him following a publication in the Social Media alleging corrupt practices in the Commission concerning the promotion exercise.

Dr Eteng further stated that the Civil Service Commission would not fail to reject any promotion not recommended by MDA/ Senior Staff Management Committee (SSMC) of the relevant MDAs and duly authenticated by the Chairman Civil Service Commission.
Dr Eteng said that staff to be promoted must meets the required maturity period for promotion in accordance with the Public Service Rules and extant Government Circulars.

The HOS disassociate the Commission from any ugly malpractices and strictly warned those involved in any form of bribe or gratification and those intending to grant unmerited favour to desist from doing so, or face the full wrath of the law.
