Police Promotes, Decorates Officers In Rivers State

The Rivers State Police Command witnessed a significant milestone as Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, adorned several Senior Police Officers with well-deserved promotions on Monday, February 5, 2024.

The ceremony, presided over by CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, saw the Commissioner expressing gratitude to the Police Service Commission (PSC) for the timely approval of the promotions following recommendations by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Olukayode Egbetokun, PhD, NPM. CP Disu also conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to IGP Egbetokun for entrusting him with the privilege of decorating the newly promoted officers.

Among the distinguished officers promoted within the Rivers State Command were 6 officers elevated from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC), 9 officers promoted from Superintendent of Police (SP) to CSP, and an impressive 45 officers ascending from Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

In his address, Commissioner Olatunji Rilwan Disu congratulated the officers on their well-earned promotions, urging them to view their advancements as a renewed commitment to service and duty. He offered prayers for divine guidance as they assume their new responsibilities.
