Otti Commissions Umuimo, MCC/Old Express, Udeagbala Roads,Pledges Economic Growth Through Infrastructure

 

Governor Alex Otti of Abia state has officially inuagurated the newly reconstructed Umuimo Road in Aba, emphasizing his commitment to accelerating economic growth in the state through improved road infrastructure.

 

Governor Otti who also performed the inuaguration of Udeagbala and MCC/Old exercise amidst cheers from the people of Aba,
pledged to beautify all entry points into Abia to ensure they reflect the development of a rapidly growing state.

The Governor while highlighting the strategic importance of the recently inaugurated roads and infrastructure projects in Aba, the economic hub of the state, stressed that the developments are crucial for revitalizing the local economy and noted that the journey towards a new Abia has just commenced.

He noted that the road serves as an alternative route connecting the Enugu-Port Harcourt road into the busy Aba-Owerri road to ABSUTH road and commended the CRANEBURG construction company, for doing a good job.

Governor Otti also encouraged the company to maintain the same level of quality and speed in the ongoing 6-lane Okpara Square-Ossah-Express Tower road in Umuahia.

 

In his remarks earlier, the Commissioner for Works Mr Otumchere Oti said that the road is one of the best done with the inclusion of drainage on both sides to direct water into the Aba River.

Speaking on behalf of residents and other business owners in the area,an Industrialist, Chief John Udeagbala thanked God for using Governor Otti to revive businesses in Aba and assured of their continuous support through prayers.

 

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor, Chief Ikechukwu Emetu, Speaker of the Abia House of Assembly Chief Emmanuel Emeruwa, the State Chairman of the Labour Party Elder Ceekay Igara, members of the state Executive Council, Traditional rulers, the Aba business community,among other dignitaries.
