The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in Abia State, has extended its heartfelt condolences to the victims of the tragic auto crash that occurred on March 30th, 2025, at Isieke-Ibeku in Umuahia North Local Government Area.
The accident, which involved officers of the joint security team, Operation Crush, claimed the life of one officer and left several others injured.
In the Press Release by the State Publicity Secretary,Eric Ikwuagwu, the Party said it is committed to the well-being of the state and deeply regret the unfortunate incident, particularly as it affected those dedicated to safeguarding lives and property,stating that it is even more distressing that they encountered such a tragedy while on duty.
“We share in their pain and extend our deepest sympathies to the families of the affected officers, especially the family of the deceased.
“Furthermore, we urge the government to take proactive measures, such as constructing a speed breaker along the road, to prevent future occurrences. We also pray for the swift recovery of the injured officers currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center, Umuahia”,it read.
