Olokoro Stakeholders Endorse Trust Fund to Sustain Community Development

Stakeholders in Olokoro Community have endorsed measures to institutionalize the Olokoro Development Trust Fund (ODTF), a development initiative established by renowned engineer and philanthropist, Engr. Barth Oyibo Thompson, to promote youth empowerment and sustainable community development.

The resolution was reached at a strategic workshop involving the Board of Trustees of the Trust Fund and other critical stakeholders, culminating in the adoption of a communiqué outlining the vision and operational framework of the initiative.

The ODTF was created to manage the ₦150 million Endowment Fund instituted by Engr. Thompson in commemoration of his 80th birthday last year. The fund is designed to provide meaningful opportunities for youth engagement while supporting other developmental programmes across the Olokoro community.

Participants at the workshop expressed unanimous support for the initiative, describing it as a bold step toward creating a lasting legacy that will benefit future generations. They emphasized the need to establish a robust institutional framework that would ensure the sustainability of the Trust Fund beyond its founder and the present generation.
