The Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) has announced an extension of the bid opening date for the ongoing procurement process for the implementation of the 2024 and 2025 Universal Basic Education (UBE) Intervention Projects.
In an addendum signed by the Executive Chairman of the Board, Mrs. Lydia Onuoha, ASUBEB stated that the bid opening exercise, initially scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, 2026, has been postponed to Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
According to the Board, the exercise will commence at 12:00 noon at the Conference Room of the Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), Umuahia.
ASUBEB clarified that all other bidding guidelines and requirements contained in its earlier invitation to tender, published in the Punch, Vanguard, and National Ambassador newspapers of July 6, 2026, remain unchanged.
The Board expressed regret over any inconvenience the change in date may cause to prospective bidders and urged all participants to take note of the new schedule.
