The People’s Elephant, Enyimba International of Aba defeated Rangers International of Enugu by a lone goal in the opening match of the NPFL Super Six Championship.
The lone goal, which was scored in the second half gave the Aba based club the maximum three points.
In the second match of the day, Kano Pillars and Akwa United settled for a 2-2 draw.
Lobi Stars outshined FC Ifeanyi Ubah 1-3 in the last match of the day.
