NDE ABIA FLAGS OF DISBURSEMENT OF SEED CAPITAL FOR BENEFICIARIES OF MEES, BBE, MPPS AND TRAINING UIN COSMETOLOGY AND TYE AND DYE MAKING FOR 40 WOMEN

The National Directorate of Employment NDE Abia has held the flag off and symbolic disbursement ceremony for ninety – eight (98) beneficiaries of the Micro Entreprise Enhancement Scheme (MEES), Four (4) Basic Business Empowerment (BBE) and 3 mature people’s programme (MPP) beneficiaries in the state.

In the same vein, the training of 20 women each in cosmetology and tye and dye was also flagged off.

The State Coordinator NDE Abia, Mrs Tessy Wachuku who represented the Director General of NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo delivered his keynote address.

The NDE Boss congratulated the trainees and beneficiaries for making it to the list and advised them not to play with this rare opportunity.

He encouraged them to make judicious use of the loans given them to enhance their businesses so they can become worthy Enterprenurs in their various fields and help NDE to fulfil their mandate of curbing mass unemployment.

It is worthy of note that the beneficiaries of the loan packages have existing businesses and have been trained by the Directorate in various skills. The loan package is for them to up skill and upgrade their business which will produce a multiplier effect in the state.

The trainees for the tye and dye making and cosmetology training were encouraged to give their all in learning the skills and skills so they can be Enterprenurs and become financially independent in the near future.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries of the loan packages, Mr Joseph Okechukwu Enwerem thanked the Directorate for selecting them among the many that were trained in the state and promised that they will not miss use the opportunity.

Mrs Mary Eke and Mrs Chidinma Chinonso speaking on behalf of the cosmetology and tye and dye classes respectively thanked the Directorate and the federal government for the opportunity.

The head of department,Small Scale Enterprise department, NDE Abia, Mr Friday Ukaegbu appreciated all who graced the occasion for their presence and charged the beneficiaries to take advantage of the seed capital to take their businesses to enviable heights.
