Labour Party Begins Upload of Candidates to INEC Portal

The Labour Party has commenced uploading the names of its governorship and House of Assembly candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination portal.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Ken Asogwa, disclosed on Monday that INEC had issued the party the required access code to complete the nomination process.

He said the upload exercise began on July 18 and has progressed smoothly, describing it as a significant step in the party’s preparations for the forthcoming elections.

Asogwa reaffirmed the Labour Party’s commitment to complying with INEC’s electoral timetable and nomination guidelines, assuring that the party would conclude the process within the stipulated deadline.

He noted that the successful commencement of the upload exercise reflects the party’s readiness to participate fully in the electoral process as political parties finalize the nomination of candidates for the governorship and state assembly elections.
