The remains of High Chief George Ogbonna have been laid to rest in his country home,Umungbuofuru ,Umuotobi, Amiyi – Ukwu in Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State.

Preaching during the funeral service held in his honour at the Umungbuofuru ,Umuotobi, Amiyi – Ukwu in Isuikwuato, the Anglican Priest in charge of Isuikwuato/ Umunneochi Diocese, Ven Stanley Anyanwu reminded christians that they will be remembered by their good work while on Earth, hence the need to live a Christlike life while still alive..

Ven Anyanwu who preached on the topic “What shall you be remember for”, said that God assigns responsibilities to everyone that He expect them to give account of their stewardships while on earth.

“When you leave this world. You and I what shall we like to be remember by. We have opportunity now to rewrite our wrong doings.

“Some people are evil men in their community that is why so many people are running away from them.

 

Presenting a biography of her father, the daughter, Miss Adaeze Ogbonna described her father as a peace maker, devout Christian, as well as a perfect gentleman and socialite who always stood by the truth.

Aged 83, Late High Chief George Ogbonna was survived by his wife, two daughters, his nephew, Inspector Vincent Uche, and other numerous relatives.
