The Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chima Anyaso, has honoured Ezinne Lolo Comfort Kalu (JP) for her contributions to the community and exemplary virtues.
Anyaso joined members of the Women’s Wing of Umuaka Okai, Item, and the Methodist Church community at St. John’s Methodist Church, Okai Item, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, for the presentation of an award to Kalu.
The honouree was recognised for what the organisers described as her love, wisdom and positive contributions to the community.
Speaking at the ceremony, Anyaso described the award as deserving, commending the women for identifying and celebrating individuals whose character, service and commitment have positively impacted their communities.
He said recognition of women of virtue would encourage others to contribute meaningfully to the development and wellbeing of society.
The event also provided an opportunity for Anyaso to interact with the women and other members of the Methodist community as he continues his engagements across Bende Federal Constituency.
The Labour Party candidate appreciated the community for the warm reception and reiterated his commitment to maintaining engagement with women, community leaders and other stakeholders across the constituency.
