Gov Otti Condoles Nig. Army Over Soldier’s Death In Aba, Calls For Calm Among Residents

 

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, has expressed condolences to the Nigerian Army following an incident on Friday evening in the Milverton area of Aba, where a clash between soldiers and criminal elements resulted in the death of a soldier and the injury of another.

 

 

Mr. Chukwunenye Alajemba, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Homeland Security, had reported that the wounded soldier is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

 

 

Governor Otti, in a statement made available to Newsmen by his Chief Press Secretary, Kazie Ukoh, commended the Nigerian Army for their restraint during the unprovoked attack and thanked Commander, 14 Brigade, Ohafia Brigadier General O.O. Diya, for his swift action in maintaining peace in Aba.

The Governor urged residents to remain calm and continue their lawful activities without fear.

 

 

He also called on the public to cooperate with security agencies by providing information that could help apprehend the perpetrators of the heinous attact.
