Labour Party Congratulates Otti on Third Anniversary, Backs Second Term
The Abia State chapter of the Labour Party has congratulated Governor Alex Chioma Otti on his third anniversary in office, describing his administration as one that has redefined governance and restored confidence in leadership across the state.
In a goodwill message signed by the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Peter Azubuike, the Labour Party said Governor Otti’s emergence three years ago reflected the people’s desire for a new Abia built on hope, competence and credibility.
The party noted that the administration has within a short period changed the narrative of governance in the state through infrastructural renewal, road reconstruction, urban transformation, improved security, reforms in education and healthcare, environmental sanitation, and prompt payment of workers and pensioners.
According to the party, residents across Aba, Umuahia and the 17 local government areas can now visibly feel the impact of purposeful governance, adding that roads abandoned for years have been reconstructed while investor confidence in the state has continued to rise.
The statement further commended the governor’s leadership style, transparency, fiscal discipline and commitment to good governance, noting that such qualities have restored dignity and pride among Abians.
“As a party, we are proud that Labour Party produced a leader whose performance has become a reference point in governance and transformational leadership. Your administration has continued to prove that leadership driven by sincerity, competence and genuine concern for the people can truly change society,” the statement read.
The Labour Party also assured the governor of its continued support, pledging to mobilise party structures across the 17 local government areas and 184 wards to sustain what it described as the transformational agenda of the administration.
The party expressed confidence in Governor Otti’s leadership and maintained that the support of Abians remains strong as the administration continues to deliver on its promises.
