G5 Integrity Governors Will Continue To Push For Equity & Justice —- Ikpeazu

 

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has assured that the G-5 PDP Governors will continue to push for equity, justice and truth with a view to ending the culture of impunity and highhandednes that led to the failure of the party in the past.

 

 

Governor Ikpeazu stated this at a Gala Night organized by the State Government in honour of the visiting G-5 PDP Integrity Governors who are in the State for the flag off of the Abia State PDP Campaigns at the Governor’s Banquet Hall Umuobiakwa,Obingwa LGA.

He stated that the G5,Intergrity Governors are not pursuing their individual comfort but rather determined to lay a solid foundation for the unborn generation.

 

According to Governor Ikpeazu, “Nigeria is in dire stress and hanging on a balance”,adding that if the Integrity Governors fail to put their feet forward in defence of truth,justice and equity, it would spell doom for the country.

Governor Ikpeazu however stated that as soon as the right thing is done the G5 Governors would see to it that PDP emerges victorious in in the polls in next year’s election.

 

In his speech, the leader of the G-5 PDP Integrity Governors’ Group and Benue State Governor, Governor Samuel Orthom said that they are still very committed to PDP, as they are not planning to leave the party.

Governor Orthom, who said that the Group appreciates PDP however pointed out that they will not be intimidated for standing for the truth.

 

He appreciated Governor Ikpeazu for the warm reception and hospitality accorded them and charged Abians to ensure that PDP wins all the elections in the State.

Highlights of the event was the presentation of Made in Abia Products to the visiting Governors by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and decoration of the Governors by the Abia State Traditional Rulers Council led by Eze Ndubuisi Nwabeke in conjunction with the Obingwa traditional Rulers Council led by Eze O.J Ananaba.

Governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State ,the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose,former Abia State Deputy Governor,Chief Acho Nwakanma, , PDP Governorship Candidate for Abia State, Professor Eleazar Uchenna Ikonne and his running mate, Barrister Okey Igwe, National Deputy Chairmen, South of the PDP, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, National Vice Chairmen, South East, Chief Ali Odefa, National Vice Chairman,, South South, Chief Dan Orbih, Members of the House of Assembly and candidates of the party, Abia PDP State Chairman, Rt. Hon. Asiforo Okere, Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Okey Ahiwe,Members of the State Executive Council, Party Chieftains, Taditional rulers among other dignitaries attended the event.
