The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has appealed to members of the public to assist in reuniting a six-year-old boy, Aliyu Suleiman, with his family after he was found wandering alone in the Kubwa area of Abuja.
Aliyu Suleiman, who speaks Hausa fluently, told police that he travelled to Abuja from Port Harcourt with his mother, Rashidat. According to the child, he had gone out with his mother and his three siblings—Aisha, Umar and Zaipa—when he became separated from them.
The child was later found wandering around the Kubwa area by a Good Samaritan, who took him to the Kubwa Area Command on 9th July, 2026, after efforts to locate his parents or relatives proved unsuccessful.
The FCT Police Command is appealing to members of the public with any useful information that could assist in identifying the child’s family or reuniting him with his loved ones to report to the nearest Police Station.
The Command also urged anyone with relevant information to contact the Police on 08180382808 or the Police Public Relations Officer on 07038979348.
The appeal was contained in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, anipr, mipra, who assured that the Police remain committed to ensuring the safe reunion of the child with his family.
