This means that neither Arsenal nor Manchester United could catch up with Chelsea. Both sides drew their respective matches this afternoon.

Huddersfield Town drew 1-1 with Manchester United, the same margin with which Arsenal ended their encounter with Brighton.

While it is certain that Manchester United will not play Champions League football next season, Arsenal will play if they eventually win the Europa League. That will see England of five clubs in the competition next season.
