Effective distribution of vaccines: Abia D.Gov. tasks PHCDA to identify all Primary Healthcare and their locations.
The Deputy Governor Chief Ikechukwu Emetu, has called on the state PHCDA to identify all Primary Healthcare, PHC centers and their locations in the state to aid government in the distribution of vaccines among other devices for utilization.
Chief Emetu who stated this during a meeting with members of the state Task Force on immunization and Primary Health Care in his office, also identified proper budgeting as key for effective implementation of government policies in every sector of the economy.
Furthermore, Chief Emetu harped on the need for clean environment through sensitization programmes while promising Government support in providing good roads and vehicles to help get to the hinterlands.
In his vote of thanks, the state executive secretary, PHCDA, Dr. Kalu U.Kalu thanked the Governor, Dr. Alex Otti for his assistance In the state Primary health care and promised to look into the challenges encountered during the last immunization campaign among among others.
Contributing, the country representatives, WHO, Dr. Alkasim M. Jibrin, his UNICEF counterpart, Mr. Ephraim Chukwu among others also thanked the state government for prioritizing the healthcare sector and appealed for support during their outreach programmes.
