Grammy-winning Afrobeats artist Damini Ogulu Ebunoluwa, widely known as Burna Boy, has fulfilled his promise of giving $30,000 to Bethel Okechukwu, who claims to be the brother of socialite Cubana Chief Priest.
Recall that on Saturday, Burna Boy and Cubana Chief Priest trended on social media after a public altercation. Amid the online exchange, Burna Boy shared a video of Okechukwu, a phone repairer, who alleged that he is related to Cubana Chief Priest and is struggling financially.
In the video, Burna Boy expressed his desire to find Okechukwu and pledged to gift him $30,000.
On Sunday, Okechukwu confirmed via Instagram that the ‘Last Last’ singer had honored his commitment. In one post, he was seen in a nightclub with Burna Boy, kneeling to show gratitude.
In another video, Okechukwu urged Nigerians to join him in thanking Burna Boy for transforming his life.
Captioning his Instagram post, Okechukwu wrote: “God is real. Odogwu @BurnaBoygram, God has used you to pull me out of poverty. I will be forever grateful. Please, please, please thank him for me 🙌🙌.”
