Barrister Chijioke Nwankwo, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor of Abia State
The Councilor representing Bende Ward in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, Hon. Emmanuel Nwankwo has lauded Governor Alex Otti for appointing 2 Bende sons into positions of trust in his administration.
Barrister Chijioke Nwankwo was appointed the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor of Abia State while Mr. Chinasa Frank Iheanyi, Liaison Officer, National Assembly.

The Deputy Majority leader of Bende Legislative Council, said that Barrister Nwankwo’s appointment was in order being that he distinguished himself as the immediate past mayor of Bende LGA.
According to him, “Barrister Nwankwo was passionate about replicating Governor Otti’s development agenda when he held sway as the mayor of the council,”.
He further stated that the elevation of Barrister Nwankwo to the position of Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor underscores Governor Otti’s penchant for appointing result oriented persons to help him reposition Abia State as one of the best states in Nigeria.
Barrister Nwankwo replaced the former Deputy Chief of Staff, Chinedu Ekeke who was recently elected as the Mayor of Isuikwuato LGA.
Meanwhile according to press release made available to Journalists on Wednesday and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ukoha Njoku Ukoha contained that Governor Otti also made other appointments and named Mr Emmanuel Okpechi as the Special Adviser, Internally Generated Revenue, Emeka Enyiazu as Special Adviser, Tertiary Education, and
Mr Ndubuisi Ike, Special Adviser, Finance & Economic Development.
Other appointments approved by Governor Otti are Eric Egwuibe Special Adviser, Budget and Planning and Mr Osinachi Nwaka, DG, Ministry of Finance Incorporated.
The Abia Governor reassigned the following persons Mr Chimereze Okeigbo as CEO, Abia SME Microfinance Bank, Urenna Abazie, DG, Abia State Orientation Agency, Mrs Chinwe Kalu Uba Special Assistant, Industry & SMEs and Mrs Matilda Anyamele, Special Assistant on Arts, Culture & Creative Economy.
