AFCON: Burkina Faso, Cameroon Reach Last Four

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon kept their hope of winning the Africa Cup of Nations on home soil alive with a 2-0 victory over debutants, Gambia.

After a goalless first half, Toko Ekambi grabbed a brace in the 50th and 57th minute respectively to fire the Indomitable Lions into the last four.

This defeat brings Gambia’s debut fairytale, which saw them defeat Mauritania, Tunisia and Guinea, to an end.

Cameroon will lurk horns with the winner between Egypt and Morocco in the semi-final on Thursday.

Teenage sensation, Dango Ouattara scored the only goal just before half time, but was later sent off towards the end of the match.

The Stallions will take on the winner between Senegal and Equatorial Guinea in an all-West African affair.
