Abia Lawmaker, Lewis Obianyi, Appreciates Constituents, Sues For Peace, Synergy

The Chairman, House Committee on Niger-Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC) and Petroleum, Abia State House of Assembly (ABHA), Hon. Lewis Chinemerem Obianyi has thanked his constituents for their prayers and supports towards his emergence at 2023 general elections.

The Abia Lawmaker who stated this recently at his country home, Akanu-Ndoki Ukwa-East LGA Abia State, during an interactive session with newsmen, decried the level of underdevelopment in the area, disclosing that building of critical infrastructures, youth and women empowerment among others, are key to sustainable development of the oil-rich region.

The member representing Ukwa-East State Constituency called on stakeholders irrespective of political and religious affiliations, to sheath swords, and support the development of the area.

Hon. Obianyi who congratulated the member representing Ukwa Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, National Assembly Abuja, Rep. Chris Nkwonta on his victory at the Election Tribunal recently, expressed faith that they would synergize to attract dividends of democracy to their constituents.

He further described his victory at the Election Tribunal sitting in Umuahia on Wednesday September 20, 2023 as the act of God to preserve the mandate of the people gave him, thanking his constituents for their prayers and unflinching supports.

The Ndoki-born legislator promised to engage everything at his disposal in order to deliver quality representation in line with his campaign promises.

Hon. Obianyi, also called on the ABHA Labour Party (LP) flagbearer and other candidates in the 2023 general elections to accept his hand of fellowship and join efforts towards building Ukwa-East that their posterity would be proud of.

In his words: “We must therefore, eschew rancour, anger, bitterness and hatred for the benefits and interests of our constituency.
“I also appeal to the stakeholders of Ukwa-East, irrespective of the party affiliations, highly respected traditional rulers, religious leaders and all constituents to seize these moments to contribute to the growth, unity and stability of Ukwa-East”.
