Abia Deputy Speaker, Entrepreneurs Endorse World Tourism Day Celebration

The Deputy Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Uchendu; Abia based North Carolina entrepreneur and member of Rotary Club International District 77110, Sir Lois Orji and the Chief Executive Officer ( CEO ) Elsewhere Event Centre, Umuahia, Prince Uchecjukwu Egesie have endorsed respectively, the 2022 World Tourism Day Celebration in the state.

Speaking shortly after pledging his support to the event at his Lodge in Umuahia, when he received the General Manager of Abia State Tourism Board, Queen Onyekachi Atuloma and the World Tourism Day Celebration Steering Committee, Hon. Chief Uchendu said he was pleased to partner the committee in preparation for the event.

According to him, tourism remains another sector capable of turning around the fortunes and Internally Generated Revenue of the state for the better.

The State Lawmaker further commended the General Manager, Abia State Tourism Board for her leadership prowess which is evident in the number of the transformational programmes in the state’s tourism sector.

Contributing, an Abia based North Carolina entrepreneur and member of Rotary Club International District 77110, Sir Lois Orji described tourism as a critical tool when properly harnessed will help in marketing Abia positively in the global market.

While commending Hon. Atulomah and members of the steering committee for finding him worthy to partner with them in the event, the CEO of Where Else Limited, Prince Uchechukwu Egesie, also promised to contribute his quota towards the success of the event in the state.

Earlier in their speeches, the General Manager, Abia State Tourism Board, Queen Onyekachi Atuloma and the Chairman of the 2022 World Tourism Day Celebration Committee in the state, Mr Dimgba Ejieke said they came to intimate as well as seek for partnership towards the success of the forthcoming World Tourism Day Celebration slated to hold on the 25th to 27th of September, 2022 in the state.
