Aba Accident: Bishop Onuoha Describes It As Unfortunate, Says He Is Pained

The Co-chair Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace and President Vision Africa International Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has described as unfortunate the accident that killed undisclosed no of people in Aba on Thursday February 3rd, 2022, saying he is pained by the incident.

Bishop Onuoha also sent his condolences to families affected by the Aba mishap.

Recall that a loaded trailer had, on Thursday, lost control and ram into the abattoir located at Waterside Area of Ogbor Hill, Aba, Abia State, causing deaths, injuries as well as damaged goods belonging to traders in the area.

Reacting to the unfortunate incident ina statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen the Methodist Bishop said he is pained by the unfortunate incident, occurring at a time when people find it difficult to feed, decrying the level of destruction caused by the trailer.

He said the cause of the accident calls for concern by well meaning Abians.

Onuoha while commending the State government called for caution on the part of those using heavy trucks, adding that their carelessness while on the wheels, has claimed many lives in the past.

The Global Peace Winner advised the State Government to come up with a stringent measure that will see heavy trucks operate only at night, pointing out that some nearby States, have barred heavy trucks from plying strategic roads as well as insist they ply only at night.

He ,however, commiserated with families of those affected by the mishap, praying that God strengthens and consoles them in their moments of grief.
