Chukwu Lauds Methodist Priest at Induction, Gifts Car

The Head, Due Process and Public Procurement Bureau, Abia State, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, has lauded the dedication and commitment of priests, describing them as a worthy assets to the kingdom of God and the service of humanity.

He disclosed this yesterday (Sunday December 14, 2025) during the induction service of The Rev’d Charles C. Lekwauwa at Bethel Methodist Church, Obinolu Ngodo, Isuochi, Umunneochi LGA Abia state, held on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

 

Dr. Chukwu applauded the priest for his calling and devotion to the work of the gospel, urging him to remain steadfast and focused in advancing the spiritual growth of the church and positively impacting the community. He enjoined him to remain steadfast in his service to God, and in a show of encouragement and support, presented him with a vehicle.

This, he said would make his pastoral duties easier and more efficient in the service of God and humanity.

The induction ceremony, which took place at the Cathedral Circuit of the diocese, formally ushered in The Rev’d Charles Lekwauwa as priest-in-charge. The service was conducted by the Very Rev. Fidelis C. Ogbodo, Presbyter of the Cathedral Circuit, under the distinguished chairmanship of Elder Nneoma Francis Madu.

The presentation of the vehicle sparked jubilation among congregants, who burst into songs of praise and offered prayers of thanksgiving for Dr. Chukwu, commending his generosity and commitment to the work of the church.

The Bishop of the Nneochi Diocese, Rt. Rev. I. K. Tasie, also offered prayers and blessings for the newly inducted priest and Dr. Chukwu, applauding the gesture as a demonstration of love, encouragement, and partnership in God’s work.

The induction service attracted clergies, church leaders, and members from within and outside the diocese, making it a memorable and celebratory occasion for the Methodist community in Isuochi.
