EPL: Bees Sting Villa

Dango Ouattara scored on his debut as Brentford grabbed their first Premier League win of the season with a lone goal victory over Aston Villa.

Ouattara justified his £42.5m move from Bournemouth with a 12th minute strike that gave mew head coach Keith Andrews three points in his first home league game.

Villa’s improved performance in the second half yielded no result as they lost their first two matches of the season.

Brentford thought they had increased their advantage shortly before half-time when Mikkel Damsgaard volleyed home after the ball dropped to him following Michael Kayode’s long throw.

However, the VAR deemed that Bees skipper Nathan Collins had impeded Martinez and it was ruled out.
