Abia State, Vega Global Seal MoU Ahead of Turkey-Abia Investment Summit 2025

 

The Abia State Government (ABSG) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vega Growing Global Enterprise, reaffirming its commitment to the forthcoming Turkey-Abia International Investment Summit and Product Exhibition.

 

 

The event, scheduled to hold from 25 to 27 November 2025 at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia, will provide a platform for both international and local investors to explore opportunities in Abia State and take advantage of its growing reputation as a preferred investment destination.

Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony at Government House, Umuahia, on Wednesday, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Investment Promotion and Public-Private Partnership (PPP), High Chief Green-Amakwe, said the State Government would work closely with its partner, Vega Growing Global Enterprise, to deliver a successful summit.

 

High Chief Green-Amakwe, who also chairs the Steering Committee for the Turkey-Abia Investment Summit/Product Exhibition 2025, assured that the administration of Governor Alex Otti was fully prepared to host the summit.

 


The SA on Investment Promotion and PPP noted that the State Government is committed to creating a more favourable investment environment for both citizens and investors.

He recalled that the Committee was inaugurated on 4 June this year and mandated to collaborate with Turkey through Vega Growing Global Enterprise as the consultant for the summit and pointed out that the signing of the MoU marks a significant milestone in achieving the set objectives.

Having drawn the roadmap through the MoU that has just been signed, I expect that people will put their ideas here towards invitation, towards what they think will make this event a success”, Chief Green-Amakwe stated.

 

Also speaking, Mr Kingsley Nwokocha, the Commissioner for Trade and Commerce who is also a member of the committee, described the MoU signing as the beginning of the summit journey.

The Commissioner charged members of the organizing committee to work diligently and ensure that the investment summit is successful.

 

Each and every one of us must work extra hard to make sure that this investment promotion or summit is one of its kind”, Mr Nwokocha said.

 

In his vote of thanks, the Managing Director of Vega Growing Global Enterprise, Mr Eniola Ojajuni, expressed gratitude to the Abia State Government for the opportunity to partner with it.

Mr Ojajuni, who described Abia State as “the next investment hub in the South East”, said his organisation was committed to supporting the State’s investment drive and ensuring the success of the summit.
