IPAC Warns Members Against Unlawful Protest, Pledges Loyalty To Fubara

Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Rivers State has passed a vote of Confidence on the Gov Siminalayi Fubara.

This was disclosed in a statement jointly signed up Sensi SOLSUEMA OSARO, IPAC State Chairman, Hon. BEN OGBOBULA, IPAC State Secretary, Dr. HILDA DOKUBO IPAC State Publicity Secretary and made available to newsmen today.

The group also disassociated political parties from any illegal gatherings and or the purported protest.

They warned their members of engaging in any act that is capable of threatening the peace of the state.

The statement further reads:

“It has come to the attention of the Leadership of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Rivers State that some miscreants and enemies of the State who purport to be members of a certain faceless group are planning a demonstration in the name of Political Parties.

“That arising from the General Assembly Meeting of Monday 14th October 2024, IPAC Rivers State have disassociated political parties from any illegal gatherings and or the purported protest. We warn genuine members of political parties to avoid any unlawful groups and instead relate with their various Political Parties and avoid acts capable of breaking down Law and Order in the State.

“We passed a vote of Confidence on the Executive Governor of Rivers State Sir Siminalayi Fubara for his dexterity and temerity to navigate the State through masterminded challenges and for the successful conduct of the Local Government Elections in Rivers State.

“We condemned the burning of some Local Government Headquarters and thanked the Governor for setting up Panel of Enquiries.

“That IPAC Rivers State warn those threatening some State Chairmen of Political Parties over unfounded rumours to desist therefrom or such persons will face legitimate actions from IPAC as responsible organization.

“We call on Security Agencies to arrest and prosecute anyone or group of persons who converge in whatever disguise and or misuse the name of any Political Party without the consent of the Leadership of that Party.”
