Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has sworn in Justice StellaMaris Ururuka-Onyenso as the Acting President, Abia State Customary Court of Appeal.
Governor Ikpeazu also swore in, Lady Uzoamaka Onuigbo as a new Permanent Secretary into the State Civil Service.
Speaking at the ceremony held at the Banquet Hall, Government House Umuahia, the Governor charged them to offer their services and contributions to the growth and development of the state.
“These are challenging times for our country and state in particular. As you mount the saddle of leadership, you should also make your contributions and offer your services to the growth and development of the state”, Ikpeazu said.
While commending them for their hardwork, patience and diligent service which saw to the attainment in their careers, he expressed confidence that they would acquit themselves creditably in service to the state and humanity at large.
The Governor assured that the state government is committed to doing all within it’s powers to ensure their successful tenure in office.
He charged the new acting President, customary Court of Appeal to follow the footsteps of her predecessors, as well as embrace reforms and strive to leave the judiciary better than she met it.
Governor Ikpeazu while also congratulating the newly sworn in Permanent Secretary, urged her to contribute her quota to the growth and success of the state civil service.
In their separate vote of thanks, the Acting President, Customary Court of Appeal, Justice StellaMaris Ururuka-Onyenso and the Permanent Secretary, Abia State Civil Service, Lady Uzoamaka Onuigbo, expressed gratitude to Governor Ikpeazu for finding them worthy to serve in their respective positions.
They pledged to support his adminstration as well as contribute their quota to the growth and development of the state.
