Vicar Hope Foundation, Aba Branch Moved To Permanent Site

Vicar Hope Foundation, has moved its Aba branch of the foundation from the Aba General Hospital, to its permanent place.

The foundation, a fully equipped medical diagnostic centre for the care of sickle cell disease also boasts of medical services, xray,mammography, genotype screening with HPLC machine, diabetes treatment, blood sugar test, coronavirus test and general medical services is now at 75, Cameroon Street Aba, Abia state.

The founder of the foundation and also the wife of Abia Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, said the intention is to make the foundation accessible to all residents of Aba and nearby states without any bottleneck.

The Governor’s wife who was represented by the Vice President of the foundation, Dr. Edith Nwosu, states that the move will give the foundation more opportunities in the area of sensitization, workshops, maternal and child health care, medical welfare, sickle cell counselling and management, ultra sound imaging and nutrition out reaches.

Dr. Nwosu, said that the foundation is prepared not only physically but emotionally for our warriors(those suffering from sickle cell disease).

In his remarks, the Executive Secretary, Abia Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Chinagozie Adindu, said that the foundation has made another landmark to ensure that Abians access quality and affordable health care.

” I am confident that the workers who will make use of these equipment will handle it with utmost care and APHDA, will join forces to ensure that Abians are protected from all avoidable diseases”.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ibe U Ibe, explains that the HPLC machine is the most standard machine for the management of sickle cell disease and treatment of diabetes.

However, the doctor in charge of the Aba branch of the foundation said that the foundation has now embraced many aspects of health care management for the benefit of all.
