The Mother of former Accountant General in Abia State Sir Gabriel Onyendilefu, Mrs Rose Ahuwa Onyendilefu, is dead.
A statement personally signed by the first Son of Mrs Onyendilefu revealed she died on Saturday the 26th of February 2022, during a protracted illness.
Onyendilefu described the Mother as a renowned women leader in the community as well as in the Anglican Communion; A diligent and hardworking farmer, who single-handedly raised eight children owing to the early death of their father Wilson Ahuwa Onyendilefu.
He further added that their matriach will be sorely missed.
It is with deep sense of loss, but with total submission to the will of God, that I announce the death of our beloved mother, and matriach of Ahuwa Onyendilefu family, Mrs Rose Ahuwa Onyendilefu, whose sad demise occured in the early hours of Saturday the 26th of February 2022, after a protracted illness.
Our mother, prior to her ill-health, was a renowned women leader in the community as well as in the Anglican Communion; A diligent and hardworking farmer, who single-handedly raised eight children owing to the early death of our father Wilson Ahuwa Onyendilefu of Umu Onyendilefu Umuwaocha Ikem Nvosi in Isiala Ngwa South LGA. She will be sorely missed.
We have already commenced pre- funeral consultations and will announce the death for the funeral program in due time. However, we request you please remember us in your prayers as we trust God to give our mother, grand mother and sister, a burial befitting her sacrifices to God and humanity.
