NYCN Hails ABSU VC, Prof Ogbulu Over University’s Excellence

The apex youth body, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has hailed the Vice-Chancellor, Abia State University Uturu (ABSU), Prof. Onyemachi Maxwell Ogbulu for repositioning the citadel of learning for excellence.

The Chairman, NYCN, Ukwa-East Local Government Area (LGA) chapter, Comrade Emmanuel Akparanta who disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor in university thanked him for exhibiting uncommon intelligence as well as making Ndoki nation proud since his appointment as the university helsman.

The youth leader further stated that Prof. Ogbulu has shown capacity in leadership as his ingenuity so far in office has reflected positive in every area of the university.

Akparanta described the Ndoki-born Professor as a worthy son of Ndoki land, adding that Ndoki youths are solidly behind him at all times.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, ABSU, Prof Onyemachi Maxwell Ogbulu, who thanked the youth body, charged them to be of good conduct at all times and support Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu’s-led administration.

He promised to always identify with youths insisting that they remained the backbone and pride of every nation.

In his words: “We must commend the Abia state Governor, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu for his appointment of Ndoki people in Ukwa-East into various positions. We have never had it so good like this before. Today, the Pro-chancellor and the Vice-Chancellor of ABSU, Abia State Chairman, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and the Sole Administrator, Abia State Oil Development Areas Commission (ASOPADEC) among others are all from Ukwa-East due to governor’s uncommon benevolence to our people.”

He urged them to continue to support the administration of Gov. Ikpeazu, maintaining that Ukwa-East will ever remain grateful to him (Ikpeazu) for including Ndoki in his administration.

Highlights of the event was the decoration of the Vice-Chancellor with Akuruaku Ndoki clothe (popularly known as Akwete clothe) as a symbol of honour.
